Welcome Home Daisy!

After being gone for 10 days, Daisy is home. We got a call this evening from some neighbors that live on the street next to us. They found our posting on the Frisco-online site. Daisy was in the bushes of their home. They were able to get her out and hold on to her until we got there. I am elated! I have my kitty back! She seems to have lost some weight, but is happy to be home. She ate first thing and now she is sleeping. I wish she could tell me all the adventures she has had!

Lost

Update: We have not found Daisy. We have looked and looked. I tell myself that she is at a new home with someone that loves her just as much as I do.

Last night Daisy got out of the backyard. In the hustle and bustle of feeding, bathing, and putting Mabry to bed last night, Daisy got left outside. I remembered as we were going to bed, but it was too late. She was gone. I have been around our area of the neighborhood several times and have posted on the 'lost and found' spot on both the Panther Creek website and Frisco-Online. We are handing out flyers tonight in the neighborhood. I am trying to be hopeful. If you know me well, you know that Daisy is very special to me. I pray that she will come back to us or be able to find a good home. I miss her.

Lunch Date

Today Mabry and I went downtown to have lunch with Kris and Lana. We had a wonderful long overdue visit. Mabry enjoyed their company as much as I did. We then went back to the Deloitte office and we got to see our friends there. It was so good to see everyone!

Mabry's New Toy

This is Mabry in her Exersaucer. She has been playing in it a few times each day and is getting better and better with it. She is doing so well with her grabbing skills. I took these pictures just to show you how cute she is in it. Isn't she getting big!!?!

4 Month Doctor Appointment

See her little band-aids on her thighs...

Today Mabry and I went to her four month doctor's appointment. She endured her 2nd set of vaccinations wonderfully. She cried for maybe 15 seconds then was easily consoled. She received another A+ from Dr. Nail.
Here are her measurements at 4 months:
Weight: 14 lbs 8 oz - 75%
Height: 25.5 inches - 95%
Head: 16.5 inches - 75 - 90%

My First Mother's Day

I love being a mom on mother's day! I am so blessed to have such a sweet, wonderful baby girl. Being a mom to her is so much fun. I love her more than she'll ever know.
We got to spend the day with family in Arkansas before we caught a plane back to Dallas. We started the day with brunch with Grandmother, Granddad, Aunt Amy, Uncle Alex, Aunt Kimmy, Great Gran, and Papaw.
I'm so glad I got to be with my mom this Mother's Day. She is so special to me. I am grateful for the relationship that we have together. Thank you, Mom, for showing me how to be a great mother. I love you, Mom!
Mabry got to see her Mammaw and Pappaw before we went to the airport. I enjoyed getting to spend some time with my mother-in-law on mother's day also. She has been so great to me and loves me like a daughter. I am very thankful for the wonderful in-laws that I have.

First Flight

Mabry flew on an airplane with Southwest Airlines for the first time this morning. We flew from Dallas Love Field to Little Rock to go to Jonesboro for the remainder of the week. She did wonderful on the flight and at the airport. She fell asleep as soon as the plane was taking off and woke up just as we were landing. She's my little traveler!

Cereal

We have started Mabry on cereal this past week. She is having good practice eating from a spoon. She is getting a little better every time we try. Here are some pictures that capture the first couple of experiences.
