Preschool for Miss M

Like everyone else, this week was Mabry's first week back to school. 

She goes to a preschool close by on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 2. 

This is a great experience for both Mabry and me. She learns and plays with friends while I do all the things that are alot harder to accomplish with a toddler. 

Here she is outside her class. She couldn't understand why she didn't get to take her new backpack in her classroom with her.

 After some convincing, she gave the camera a smile!

 She took some time outside her classroom door being silly and warming up to the idea of going in.

She had a great first two days! She didn't nap there either day so we got to have a nap time when she got home. I know it will only take a few more days and she'll be adjusted to the new school schedule. 

I know you'll agree with me, she's growing up fast!

20 Weeks

We are half way there! Here is a glimpse of my belly at 20 weeks. I realized last week that I have not taken any belly pics so I thought 20 weeks was a good start. I feel like I have just really popped, and I take the reactions from friends as confirmation of this. So far, my pregnancy with Clark has been very different than with Mabry. I even feel like I'm carrying higher. I am so excited to be carrying this precious gift from God. I look forward to the next 20 weeks and especially the weeks after that when I can hold him in my arms.

Frisco Safety Town 2011

We went to the Frisco Safety Town this year with a free pass from our library's summer reading program prizes. Mabry was a lot more wary of everything this year. We spent the majority of the time watching a fire-safety episode of Barney in the air-conditioning which was fine with me! :)

 She did not want to put on a helmet or get on a bike so we just watched Graryer.

 We decided to walk through the miniature town as pedestrians. Mabry learned to push the button and wait for the 'little man' before crossing the street.

It's a BOY!

We have been blessed with a healthy baby BOY! 

Clark Alan is the name we have chosen for our newest joy. Clark is a name we saw and just really liked and Alan is Chad's middle name as well has his dad's. We are excited to pass it on. 

Mabry loves talking about Baby Clark. When we ask her about helping him, her eyes enthusiastically get big and she starts chattering about all she can do for him. We relish her eagerness to be a big sister.

 We were very fortunate that the weekend and week after we found out that he was a boy there were two huge consignment sales. We got some very cute outfits for Clark as well as our biggest item, a double jogging stroller! I can't wait to have both kiddos out next spring on walks with me!

Chad and I know that God has truly blessed us by giving us these two beautiful children. 

We pray that He will continue to guide us to be the parents He desires us to be.
