Branson Vacation

(in front of Yakov Smirnoff's Moscow Circus Show)
This year for our Huffman family vacation we went to Branson, MO. We stayed at a resort on beautiful Table Rock Lake.  The annual vacation is a great time for our family to spend time together for a week since we all live in different cities. Mabry had a great time with her cousins. As the kids get older, we can envision many more fun times that they will have playing together.
We got a 2 day pass to Silver Dollar City amusement park located in Branson. It is a fun park with lots to do for all ages. Chad and I had a great time on the roller coasters. Mabry did great in her stroller through the park as we went from ride to ride. She was able to nap in air-conditioned areas both days. She was a trooper in the heat and seemed to enjoy all the things to see around her.
Chad and I had to get the obligatory picture in the shackles. : )
Even though Mabry was too small to ride the rides, there were things there for her to do.
She discovered her love to color!
There was also a huge 3 story play place filled with foam balls. She loved to gather balls to place in the vacuum tube. She seemed to think that was really neat.
We also went to the Titanic Museum there in Branson. It was such a cool tour. You began your tour by receiving a boarding pass that had the name and information about an actual passenger that was on the Titanic. At the end of the tour you were able to check the memorial wall to see if your passenger had made it. The museum had a theme honoring the dogs on the Titanic where they had mascot dogs to see and pet. Mabry enjoyed seeing the 'doggies.'

Our Little Track Star

Mabry won her first race this past weekend! She got picked during the Frisco Roughrider game to run a race against a couple of other toddlers. She did so good and wasn't shy or scared like we thought she might be. The race was around 9:30 at night, well past her bedtime. We think her spurt of energy might have been a result of the M&Ms Grandmother shared with her.
(You will need to pause the song at the bottom of the blog to be able to hear the video.)
