Mabry + Daisy

This was a photo-op requested by Mabry. She likes to get on the bed in the morning with Daisy. She said "Mommy, take a picture." It turned out to be a great one! Mabry and Daisy have a love-hate relationship so getting them this close is rare. If Mabry had her way, though, Daisy would be in her arms or by her side at all times. Daisy has learned to tolerate all the loving from Mabry as this picture depicts.

Snow Day!

We got 5 inches of snow! Of course this comes the same weekend that we have Mabry's birthday party. We know that we will always have to cross our fingers for clear weather when we plan parties. Fortunately, this came the day after the party.
After Mabry rested with an afternoon nap, we got out and played in the snow. We tried to teach her to make a snowball, but Mabry ended up just throwing loose snow. She'll catch on one day!
After a busy weekend of partying, I couldn't think of a better way to relax than with a snow day!

She's 2!!

We celebrated Mabry's 2nd birthday this past weekend with a traditional family Abby Cadabby party at our house. Mabry got to enjoy some of her favorite things with her favorite people. Who could ask for a better way to turn 2 years old! We are so grateful that Grandmother and Granddad and Mabry's aunts, uncles and cousins came to share in the birthday fun with her.
She enjoyed her pizza...
Blowing out 2 candles...
Eating a yummy cupcake...
And of course, opening presents!
We hosted a play-date party at Chick-fil-A for our friends in honor of Mabry's birthday. She had so much fun being the only girl with 4 boys! It scares me and her daddy that it may be like this in 10 years as well! :) We had fun playing, eating, playing some more, then eating some more. It turned into a 2 1/2 hour play-date party. Miss M loves 'Chick-a-way' (as she calls it).

New Camera!!

Chad and I got a new camera (Nikon S6000) this week! It was so needed. Now I feel more confident with my blog posts :). After we got the camera, we enjoyed a dinner at Firehouse Subs. It was so yummy! Mabry got a kids meal that comes with a sandwich, drink, Oreos, and a fire hat. She loved getting lemonade! She ate the majority of her ham and cheese, some chips I shared with her, and one Oreo (Chad and I split the other one).
This is one of the first pictures taken with my new camera.

P.S. Mabry turns two on Friday!!!
