Celebrating 6 Years

Chad and I celebrated 6 years of wedded bliss on the 30th. Our anniversary present to each other was tickets to go see Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and many others. What a great evening of country music!
There were a few new and upcoming bands that played before the big act. We discovered Eden's Edge! They are a Christian country/blue grass group from Little Rock. So impressed! Check them out if you get a chance. www.edensedge.com
As you can see, we had great seats if the singer came out on the catwalk. Unfortunately, Brad Paisley only made it out there once and we didn't get our camera out fast enough. Blake Shelton put on a great upbeat, personable show and Brad played and sang all his hits for about an hour and half. These guys are so entertaining! What a show!
Happy Anniversary to us! We have been blessed with so many great memories together in the past 6 years. I look forward to many more in the future!
Also, thanks to Brad, Rhonda, Annabelle, and Harris for hanging out at our house with Mabry while we had our date night at the concert!

52 Happy Meals

Mabry got Happy Meals from McDonalds for a year!
We just had a new McDonalds open in our area, and as a promotion, they were giving away a year of Happy Meals for the first 100 in line at 3:00. We got our best buds to join in the fun with us. We lined up at 2:00 and were, I think, in the first 30. We sat in the hot sun and waited til 3. We ate chicken nuggets, colored, played play-dough, blew bubbles, stickers, and waited.
The kids were troopers! It was sweaty hot!
We were so excited to get our prize! They also gave the kids a free ice cream cone for waiting.
We enjoyed the air conditioning and cooled off with the yummy ice cream.
Take a look at these ice cream lovin' cuties!
Proud girl and momma! Mabry loves "Old McDonalds"

Ooey-Gooey Rice Crispy Treats

A few days ago, Mabry helped me in the kitchen... We made rice crispy treats.
She was fascinated as we melted the marshmallows and butter.
Then she had a lot of fun adding the rice crispies.
Once, we finished, she had to help clean up the mess of rice crispies that didn't make it in the bowl or her mouth.
And ta-da! A rice crispy treat heart!
And of course, we couldn't forget the sprinkles!

Big Sister

Mabry is going to be a BIG SISTER!
For those of you who haven't heard and even those of you who have, we'll tell you again, we will be adding another member to our little family around the
beginning of January (Jan. 4 due date).
I am now 14 1/2 weeks pregnant. Chad and I are so excited and Mabry's excitement is building every day. We know she will be a great big sister. She has already started tattling on her 'little sister.' She seems to think, like me, that it's a girl. She also is sweet and pretends she is swinging her little sister and washing her little sister in the bath. I just hope she's not too disappointed if it's a boy. We'll soon find out the answer to that question on August 5th. Can't wait!
Mabry got to spend last week with Grandmother and Granddad in AR. She came back to a 'big sister' bed in a 'big sister' room! She was so excited. It helped that we, along with her grandparents, had talked it up the whole week before. Here are some precious pictures of this sweet big sister and her new bed...
The picture below was taken right before she is going to sleep for the first time in her big bed.
And yes, it's still that light at 8:00 at night in her room.
 Night, night!
Sleeping beauty... I took this one before I went to bed. She slept all night and got up at her usual time this morning. I think her new bed is perfect!

Gulf Shores Beach Vacation

This is our Huffman Family. It was so great to spend the week with everyone.
A couple of our beach pics...

One of Mabry's favorite things to do was build sand castles. She got a lot of help from her cousins and Daddy throughout the week. She was terrified of the ocean for some reason so we stayed a good ways away from it when at the beach.
But of course, her most favorite part of the vacation was swimming in the swimming pool. She would have swam the whole time if we would have let her!

The view from our wonderful condo. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the beach. I definitely hope we frequent this place!
Thanks Mammaw and Pappaw!
