10 Months and Crawling!

Mabry is 10 months old! Can you believe it?!!
Her grandmother (my mom) came to visit this past weekend along with 3 of her friends. We enjoyed time together shopping and playing with Mabry.
Mabry loved having 4 grandmas for the weekend!

And yes, Mabry is finally crawling! She is getting more and more bold each day lengthening the distance she crawls.
One of her biggest inspirations for crawling is the kitty, Daisy. Now, both Mabry and Daisy will need to learn the limits of each other. As you can see in the pictures, Daisy has not learned to run off just yet, and Mabry has not yet learned that Kitty may hurt her if she pulls too hard. Daisy has been gentle so far...

Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Halloween!
We had so much fun on Mabry's first Halloween. She is our beautiful flower.
We hosted friends to our neighborhood to trick-or-treat with us.
From left to right: Gavin (8 months), Grayer (10 months), Regan (4 months), and Mabry (10 months)
Mabry got to trick-or-treat at three houses of our friends that live in the neighborhood. Instead of candy, the babies got baby-friendly goodies in treat bags that I put together for them.
Yea! Of course we made sure we went by Mr. Matt and Ms. Gina's house!

Costume Party Play-date

Mabry and I hosted a play-date at our house this afternoon. We asked the other babies to come in their cute Halloween costumes. The moms enjoyed homemade chicken potpie, pumpkin dip, and Halloween themed desserts. Also, Ms. Jeanne J. and Ms. Amy C. came by to visit and play with the babies. We had a great time just watching the babies play and chatting in a cozy home while it was raining so hard outside. We are so thankful for our friends!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch that was set up on the field at the Frisco Roughrider ball park. Admission was free and they also had free bratwurst (so yummy!). It was a great opportunity for free family fun. We met some friends there and, together, we all enjoyed the beautiful day.

Stonebriar Church Fall Festival

We spent our Friday night at the church's Fall Festival. It was a huge event spread out all over the church campus with a cake walk, bounce houses, rock-climbing wall, and numerous games to name a few. Our adult fellowship class sponsored and worked a game booth. We had a great turn out and a fun time for our little ones to show off their adorable costumes.
Proud Papas!

*There are a few more functions where Mabry gets to wear her costume. Stay tuned future posts...*

9 Months Old

Mabry is now 9 months old! I often look at her and see that my baby is growing into a little girl. To me, it is bitter sweet. I am enjoying the baby days, but I know how fun the little girl days are going to be.
Mabry got her first fever on the day she turned 9 months old. My poor baby is getting over a sore throat and temperature. We had her 9 month doctor visit already scheduled so I just took her in for that as well as to get her sickness checked out. Fortunately, she tested negative for the flu and strep throat. The doctor said it was just a virus or cold that will run it's course.
Besides her being sick, she got an A+ for her 9 month physical. He said she is advanced on her fine motor skills and her language skills. I do believe her first word is "kitty" or "kee". She says it every time she sees Daisy. Mabry is not crawling yet just rolling everywhere. I know she will crawl once she decides she is ready.

Here are her 9 month stats:
Weight: 19 lbs 11 oz - 75%
Height: 29 in. - 95-97%
Head: 18 in. - 95%
