Going to the Dentist

Mabry had her 3rd dentist appointment
and Clark went for his FIRST.
Can you tell there is a big difference in their reaction to it?
Mabry was such a big girl. This appointment was a far cry different than her other two. She jumped right up there and didn't even have to have me with her. She was even game for the x-rays too! I love watching her grow and mature!
Clark on the other hand loved being there and flirting with the hygienists but as you can tell, he was not a fan of the actual teeth cleaning. Next time will be better! :)

Cousin Camp 2013

This summer was our first summer for our annual Cousin Camp for the kids. We picked out a week or so where we could let Mabry and Clark stay in San Antonio for a few days then we got to switch off and the kids got to come to Frisco. As you know, this also allows for some fun couple time for the ones without the kiddos. :)
Here's a glimpse into their time in San Antonio...
Fun times at the science museum!
They also had lots of fun playing outside and going to a water park. Clark got to go down his first water slide. Annabelle helped by sitting behind him and holding on to keep him sitting up.

Here's a glimpse into their time with cousins at home...
Popcorn and a movie!
 Homemade GAK!
 Jump Zone! (Inflatable bounce houses)
Showing off their socks...
 Park and picnic!
 Swim time!
We were sad to see Harris and Annabelle go, but we were super excited that Nathan came to stay with us for a couple nights!
 I love these diaper babies!
Spending time with cousins is what summers are for!

The Sea Life Aquarium

Grandmother and Granddad came in town for the 4th of July. On the 5th, we decided to treat ourselves with something out of the ordinary since we do live in the Dallas area. There are lots of fun things around to do. We headed over to the Sea Life Aquarium at Grapevine Mills. This was great because it was indoors, the kids could run around, and we got to see some neat ocean life from cool perspectives.
 Brother/sister love!
He has the sweetest grin ever! (and somehow he knows it!)
If you know Mabry well, you know that she can be timid about certain things that she deems scary. After the aquarium, we decided to walk through the stores at the mall. There they had these giant 'hamster balls' that you could pay to play in, float on water, and try to stand. Mabry decided this is what she wanted to do. We were shocked and proud when she followed through, got in, and had a blast. I have to say that this may be a small moment to some, but this was a proud parent moment for Chad and me. She's growing up!
After Mabry had her fun, it was Clark's turn to ride on some cars for a few quarters.
It was a great day out and I am so grateful that Grandmother and Granddad enjoyed it with us!

The Beach 2013

We love our Huffman family vacations! This summer we were blessed with another wonderful beach trip to Gulf Shores with 15 of us. The best part about it is that we all get to stay in the same condo that is right on the beach! We got to have lots of play time with cousins and some game nights after the kiddos went to bed! Beach + Family + Play time = Vacation Fun!
Clark is such a boy! Sand from head to toe!
  Daddy's Girl!
 Momma's Boy!
 She is our sunkissed cutie!
Clark learned to navigate that sand but he wasn't a fan of it at first.
We are so thankful for this time at the beach and grateful that we have fun family to share it with. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Clark's First Baseball Game

Clark went to his first baseball game last week! He loved it!
We got lawn tickets to the minor league Frisco team, the Roughriders. With two young kids, the lawn is the best place for us.
We enjoyed free hats, free hot dogs, and fun with friends. Some friends of ours from church joined us.
We will definitely be doing this again!

Dancing Darlings

Dancing Darlings is the name of the dance class that Mabry went to this past school year. If you know Mabry, you know that she loved every minute of it. This past Saturday was her big recital day and boy was she excited about getting on stage. She knows she's a super star!
She tapped to the Mickey Mouse March. I may be a bit biased, but I have to say that it was the cutest dance of the whole recital. Mabry got to lead the girls on stage in the march and she knew her cue and her moves.
I am so proud of her and impressed with her ease at performing.
I am pretty sure we will be signing up for dance next year too. She seems to be a natural!

Lately...

Lately, this little guy has been learning to walk! (Finally!)
A few days shy of 17 months, Clark took his first steps. He is getting the hang of it but is very cautious and realizes that crawling will get him there faster. He can walk. We just now have to make him want to! :)
We had a few extra minutes before church so I wanted to get some pictures of my adorable kiddos in their smocked outfits.
Lately, we have been trying to come up with things to do now that summer has taken off and most of our extra activities have slowed down. Yep! I pulled out the shaving cream! We will definitely do that again!
We will also be loading up the wagon to head to the pool. Our neighborhood had their annual pool party where they had MooYah burgers and sno cones!
I hope to get lots of pictures to share of our fun summer!
